Like many realtors I started off working for a “Name Brand” real estate company. I was a single woman so 72-hour weeks and being the last one out the door were not uncommon for me. Unlike most realtors those long hours were not being spent working on many deals at once, keeping the revenue flowing through the office. Many times it was only one deal. One very difficult deal that most realtors agreed they would have dropped do to it was either not a money maker or it was too time consuming or lost it because it was too difficult to close. I will admit I took those deals on partly because of the challenge but mostly because it felt good to help those people make something happen when the chances didn’t look good. I didn’t make the money that most would have liked but I made what I needed, received many referrals and never received a bad review.
